    Antique #8 Stillson Wrench by The Erie Tool Works, Erie, PA. 7" Long.
    The Erie Tool Works started business in 1902 and was incorporated in 1908 in Erie, Pennsylvania. They were primarily a maker of pipe wrenches, adjustable wrenches, vises, and other tools.
    We do not have an exact date of manufacture for this particular wrench, but given the wire-wrapped wooden handle and overall look and feel of the tool itself (ignoring the surface rust and accumulated dirt), we believe this was made early in the company's history, somewhere between 1910 and 1915.
    This is truly a piece of American history. Buy it before it's gone.
    Condition
    is Good, Used. There is a fair anount of surface rust on this wrench, but it is still fully operational. The wood covering on the handle is split and cracked, but still held solidly in place by whar appears to be the original wire-ties wrapped around thebhandle in 2 places. See photos for a closer look at the condition. We wire-brushed some of the rust away from the markings to make them readable.
